The Life of 2004 is hell... chilly hell.

I received an sms from my aunt while I was coming home from Penang

"Wow, earthquake triggered tsunami waves flooded the entire Gurney Drive while we were hiking at Penang Hill!"

At first I thought it was nothing - as Penang always get these kinda things when Sumatra ruptures. But upon my return home...

It was devastating, the number of deaths are still climbing. And the thought that I was in Penang the very minute it happened, luckily enough it didn't happen to me. Still, what if I was at Gurney Drive, walking with my Mom and my aunt... What if the waves happened at night instead where Gurney Drive transforms into a busy hawker centre and we were eating there... What if we were walking along Batu Ferringhi Beach... What ifs...

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Death for not choosing me now"

Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Thailand and of course Indonesia (not forgetting all foreign tourist there) - I express my condolences to you and your family. May those who have passed on during this tragic catastrophe reach the doors of heaven. To other victims who experienced this chilling waves, I salute your strength for survival and hope that you recover from this incident physically and mentally.

"Whatever happens, life goes on"

This is a summary of my trip to Lush Langkawi - would like to acknowledge Jolene's writings too. Her views and thoughts however might contrast with mine, and hence have nothing to do with this blog. Enjoy the storyline and pictures though!
