GUBRA, MALAYSIAN PREMIERE. The movie is MALAYSIAN, NOT MALAY i.e. got a mix language of Malay, English, Mandarin and Canto

More coming soon
Seed Cafe
One Utama Shopping Centre (New Wing)
Type of Food: Asian + Western

Introducing Seed Cafe, a lifestyle restaurant by the established Malaysian brand Seed. Seed is a local clothing company with designs targeted at young working adults. The interior is rather plain, but offers comfortable private spaces for every table. The restaurant does not display their clothes for sale, as their clothing outlet or their 'lifestyle outlet' is located in other parts of the shopping centre.

The cafe has a couch outside, either for customers who wish to eat there or for those who are put on the waiting list. During our visit, there were ample spaces available, suggesting its new establishment that requires more time before it becomes more well known. Huge competition surrounds the cafe as well, which includes Fridays, Daves and possibly Burger King?

The menu here is something like what DOME has to offer, but at a cheaper (but not cheap) price. Serving Asian and Western style food, they also have set menus i.e. Thai, Malaysian, Pasta and Western priced at rather affordable price (RM 16 which includes a drink).

Personally, I rather see it as a restaurant itself rather than a branch of this 'lifestyle clothings' cafe. The food served here is not too bad, with the size of the portions just right. Although such lifestyle restaurants have not hit Malaysians hard (like what happened to Zang Toi Cafe I think), this cafe seems to be doing quire well. Perhaps it's the type of food and fashion that catches the taste and preferences of the same age group i.e. the young adults.

The judges: Kailin and Fuichin

Scary wei Kailin

Fuichin thought that the reflection made us looked like we're covered by a blanket. I thought that it was like we're in a pool or something hehe... kinky

Final Verdict: Not too bad a CAFE!

If you're wondering: She's single and looking for chinese dudes.

Restoran Talipon
Location: Kelana Jaya (almost directly opposite Kelana Jaya LRT Station)
Type of Food: Steamboat

Restoran Talipon offers All-You-Can-Eat BBQ Steamboat style. Facing the Damansara-Puhong Highway, the building is spacious and open aired, making the BBQ Steamboat experience less heaty and sweaty. The prices are RM 18 for adults and RM 10 for children, drinks however are sold separately. Ice cream is part of the steamboat as well. So after all the hot, heaty stuffs, you can unwind and chill with an chocolate ice-cream cone. The staff there are rather attentive as there are many of them around.

The restaurant faces the Kelana Jaya LRT Station. So if you were a Subang nite and without a private transport, you could take the Putraline Bus Feeder which stops at the station. However, I would say that it's not worth the hassle to do so. The variety is almost the same as any other BBQ Steamboat restaurants. So if there is one nearby you, just head to that premise.

One thing about the restaurant also was the size of the tables. I realised that most tables could comfortably fit 4 - 5 people, but beyond that it is an Indian train.

Daryl's appetite was not that remarkable... Hmm...

Justin and Gaya. I said to act naturally GAYA

What is up with this two women... Act NATURALLY! John and Dine

Brokeback Ice Cream. DJCK and Daryl

Another brokeback scene: Juzzy and Johnny

Johnny's big ass ice cream. We bit off some parts di.

The oil kept splattering around, we were being pussies by oooh, aaah, ouch and arghing around. Gaya decided to have her own shield.

After that, we got dropped off at Nadine's crib. Daryl went off to see a chick while Justin was dumped by Daryl (I thought he was kidding wei!). Johnny headed to Kota Kemuning to see honey Rachel while I waited for Gaya to fetch me home.

I shall end this with an Epilogue of pictures:

Zouk KL
Location: Jalan Ampang, opposite Hotel Maya (perpendicular to Jalan Sultan Ismail, accessible via Monorail)
Type of Music: Mixture
Ladies Nite: Thursdays @ Ghetto Heaven

Zouk KL, a Singaporean establishment, has arguably brought the KL nightlife to another level. I reckon that is has one of the biggest dancefloor yet. It is the only club along Jalan Ampang, being secluded by others. They only admit guys above 21 and girls above 18. Thusdays is Ladies Nite, which coincide with Ghetto Heaven, the only night where the whole club is dedicated to hiphop/RNB. Other interesting nights should be Wednesday's Mambo Jambo (70s) while the weekend is trance. Many international guest Deejays frequent the club, offering an acquired mix of music (e.g. tribal, electronica funk etc 0_O)

Personally, I'm a big RNB fan, so I would only go on thursday unless some big ass International DJ comes, or there's some event I get invited to (which hasn't happened yet, fingers crossed!) Zouk also has another main room, Velvet Underground. It is reserved for the VIPs and plays more lounge music.

Official ambassadors for Zouk LOL... Jus kidding
For the record, I'm not a frequent clubber.

Warning: Drug abuse and underage admittance are considered an offense by law.

Naili's Place
Location: Taipan Triangle, opposite Starbucks
Type of food: Upper class mamak/western

Naili's Place, located in the heart of the USJ Commercial Area, Taipan follows a beach theme. Palm trees, patio/verandah like porches, sea themed backdrops and beach tables to name a few. They even have a beach-like bar! As the trees and plants somehow block the view outside, you can actually feel that as though you are by the beach! What's more with the fan blowing to your head! Heck I even brought my sunglasses into the shop!

The menu is nothing to cheer about. Just like any other Asian + Western menu. The crowd there has an equal share of family and young adults. The younger crowds in their cliques would usually just order drinks. Here their variety expands a bit, with the beach-like-names-smoothies. The price, however, is a bit inclined towards the expensive side. Maybe it's to compensate for the interior decoration. The service was also a bit lousy though, seemed to be understaffed or something. A mamak will always be a mamak (although it is run by malays I think).

As usual, camwhore mode ON!

Lecturer's here! Finale post!

Tuesday, April 04, 2006

Prologue:

I know you all wanna see me dressed up as a woman, but hold your horses! Haha..

--> Entree

I woke up to find myself late for class today. Shit I was suppose to get up earlier to finish up my reports!!!

FUCK IT LA, go for 3rd lecture only. So I sat down to review my report...

'WHAT THE FUCK WAS I WRITING ABOUT'?

All the calculations were wrong, some spellings were a bit not right, a lot of touching up needed to be done...

WAS I DRUNK LAST NIGHT!? Even my laptop was on! Then baby Jo sent me a message online and I didn't reply cause had to CHEONG my report. But in the end it turned out alright!

Then after that I turned on my slumber mode, slowly taking my shower, wearing my shoes and all... Reach uni in time for my lecture! Despite all the 'HOR CK LATE FOR CLASS' nonsense... Seriously I'm not the one who skips all the time lorh...

IMU is in the charity season mood, which got me really annoying. Everywhere you go people will be asking you to buy this buy that for charity for some god knows home who only survive on one kettle a day yada yada yada... But I'm not so mean to turn them down la, since I've been in this business before, and our batch is organising one too...

THAT'S RIGHT! I'm BACK IN THE CHARITY BUSINESS!

The P106 MOVIE MARATHON in aid of SAINT JEROME ORPHANAGE!
Strictly no porn. And we support intellectual property by using originals LOL!

I'm the self appointed secretary for this project, but also putting my ass around wherever I can, like helping V CO (Yes that's his real name) to design the posters, helping out in the ticketing booth... I even offered to dress up as one of our Movies' characters! (Initially I suggested Geisha for Memoirs, not I who dress though it'll be Orientation all over)

I've also applied for NUS and NTU already. Since you could apply for 8 courses in NUS and 5 in NTU, I applied for (AHEM) Nursing in NUS and Traditional Chinese Medicine in NTU... See how it goes ya! Nadine was saying can open a shop half selling ginseng and all half selling panadol and vitamin C! LOL

But honestly, my days in IMU are not that bad. I'm enjoying my acquaintences with my friends, the Dean from Glasgow came today to tell us the wonders of Scotland, and my studies are not so behind (even though I haven't been studying... that's Malaysian life wei :P). I'm actually wondering whether I should come back to Singapore should I be offered a place? My dad said if get Pharmacy or Science must go, but that's a month away to decide!

I'm trying to get myself active in IMU as well. Other than the Movie Marathon, I'm selling ticks for the Charity Run food fair as well... Imagine that! You get people to pay you to run, then after that sell them coupons to buy their food and drinks when they are so desperately in need of refreshments! Oh we're damn smart bitches wei! I'm running too though! Must do PHARMACY PROUD! DOWN WITH MEDICINE AND NURSING! Hahaha, ok maybe Nursing ally with us la since we form the minority in the uni...

Epilogue:

OK OK la give you one to cuci mate bit LOL

"Don't cha wish your girffriend wat hot like us? yeah:
